I had a web site  of the same name  about 6 years ago with Freeserve, it was quite good & easy to maintain but Orange bought them out & closed all the free web sites about 2 years ago. They said we would be able to bring them back in a different format but I never managed it.This is my attempt at renewal.

Kirton Light Railway is a garden railway on half an acre. Having made over 1600 concrete sleepers during 1997 & 98 we started laying track in June 98 & finished the following year. The land being just 15yds wide the curves are very tight, down to 13ft radius. the track is 30x12mm flat steel bar set in concrete sleepers reinforced with stainless steel. There are 9 sets of points and 2 diamond crossings, total track length 375yds.The track runs through the back of the house into the assembly shop then into the workshop (formally the front room). My neighbour on the left was about to have the track extended onto his garden but he died suddenly, leaving me with 800 surplus concrete sleepers

This shows the danger in laying track on land you do not own..
